Cardinal Rolling

School_stanford_logo_2_2 My Stanford Cardinal men's basketball team is rolling, baby!

No.8 in the nation.  24-4 record.  Twin 7' monsters patrolling the paint.

So I flip on the TV yesterday afternoon & stumble on Stanford (#8) losing at home by 13 to Washington State (#22).  Losing!  (I was sick.)

As I watched the second half, Stanford came roaring back.  But every mistake or bad call by the refs (aren't they all bad calls when they're against your team) was met by me jumping up & coaching the team loudly from Overland Park.

My wife jokingly says, "You have NO right to get frustrated with the team.  You have NOTHING to do with the outcome!"  I reply, "What are you talking about?  That's MY alma mater.  They NEED me!"

P.S. After I started "coaching" the game from my living room, Stanford had a 20-point turnaround and won by 7.  Coincidence?  I think not.  :-)

Congrats on the major influence you have on your boys. Maybe you could use your influence to change the mascot from a tree to something more intimidating? :)
